All of our pets enjoyed this.
We have 3 dogs and 4 cats. All of them, except the reclusive one, showed up at dinner time and would eat this. Honestly it was a pleasant experience for all of our pets. We hadnt planned on giving this to our cats but they seemed to enjoy it all the same and we would treat them with this outside of regular mealtime. Our dogs however were given this more routinely.Karl – older male catHe has a weak belly and throws up too often. He ate this and had no issues. Although he didnt eat this as often as the others.Hank – 1 year old male catThis dude eats everything and would eat every type of pet food in the house, including the dog food. He enjoyed this obviously.Sophie – Older female catShe started showing up at dinner time and my wife would give her small portions. Didnt become her primary meal but became more of a treat. So, she’d eat some and then walk away from the extra.Rosie – female dog, doesnt have many teeth left and suffered a collapsed trachea in her youth that still impacts her day to day.We recently rescued Rosie and we’re pretty sure the prior owners gave her up because of the dental work she required and the medication cost for the collapsed trachea. We’ve been testing different food with her lately. Her foster family gave her dry kibble but we found that Rosie was eating it whole because she couldnt chew it up. Rosie had no trouble with this. The sizing is perfect for a small dog and the softer texture allows her to chew this like a traditional dog food.Eva – female dogShe got this from time to time and seemed to enjoy it but she often preferred her regular food. She a high-strung Aussie and I mean high strung for an Aussie…Hazel – female dogHazel has had some skin issues along with some urinary problems lately. Shes the main reason my wife wanted to switch to fish and one of the reasons we ordered this. Unfortunately by providing this to all of the animals we weren’t able to give Hazel this consistently enough to see if its been beneficial. We have seen some improvement but we’ve also been giving her raw food thats predominantly fish. We think the fix has mostly been the fish, not necessarily a specific brand or type.What I like:Doesnt require refrigerationKibble is very liteWhat I dont like:Because traditional dog food is hard, part of that helps clean your pets’ teeth. I wouldn’t think you’re getting that benefit with this. But Rosie has almost no teeth and this is great for her. Maybe your dog doesn’t have teeth either or you handle teeth cleaning and brushing some other way, so its a non-issue.

Promising for a Rescue Pom-Chi
I adopted a pom-chi about 4 years ago. I think the pup was not well socialized and possibly had been abused. He does not like children at all, has a very self-protective manner and growls a lot even towards people he loves. I am his person and he only allows me to be close to him. He is about 12 years old now and has lost many teeth. Because I don’t know his history, I have tried to give him various high quality dog foods but he has consistently refused. Instead, I have been cooking two meals a day for him. Sometimes he eats and sometimes he does not. I try to prepare meals to his liking as no one wants to see their pup not eat. Every once in awhile, I will offer him appropriately soft dog food but no luck so far. I am never going to try to force him to eat anything he doesn’t want. I feel he has been through enough in life and I want whatever remaining years he has left to be as happy as I can provide for him.I wanted to try Kibble In The Raw for our other pup, a young standard poodle. We have had the poodle since she was a puppy: she is wonderfully socialized, eats a good diet of high quality dry and wet food. The poodle likes the Kibble In The Raw and took to it right away. Our Pom-Chi appeared interested so I gave him a bit. Much to my surprise, he ate a small bowl of it for dinner tonight. I don’t know if he will continue eating it; if he doesn’t, that’s OK. If he does, I will be one happy dog mom. I worry about providing enough nutrition for him in home cooked meals. If I can even get half his daily diet from this food, I will be grateful. That he ate one meal is a bit of a miracle. And he can eat it even though he doesn’t have many teeth. Wish us luck; I am grateful I have the opportunity for this little pup to try and enjoy this food.
