Excellent for a small, skinny dog!
I have a very small service dog (approx. 10 lbs) with a really strange body structure, so it’s very difficult to find any quality service gear for him, since most are made with labradors and golden retrievers in mind. I ordered this vest without expecting much, since I’d been let down multiple times before, but it actually fits him really well! Chip can be a bit picky about what he wears, since his fur is so thin that he chafes easily, but he got so excited to go out and work when I put this one on that I could hardly get him to sit still long enough for a photo! He seems to find it very comfortable, and had no complaints whatsoever during an hour long shopping trip.I ordered the smallest size and adjusted it as small as it would go, and it slides a little when it gets tugged, but since he wears a head collar that won’t be an issue. It’s still much better than his last harness, which perpetually hugged one side of his body instead of his back, or the one before that wouldn’t adjust to fit his skinny ribs.The material is bright and sturdy, and the reflective spots shine like diamonds! The text can be clearly read, even at the small size he has and several feet away. Already, I’ve had less parents encouraging their kids to ask to pet the puppy, or adults stopping me to ask about his breed. I’ve even had less people questioning his legitimacy. All of these have been huge issues, since he’s unique-looking, cute, and small. He was so goofy-looking in his last vest that people (who already though he was a fake because of his size) would assume I had just slapped a bright-collared harness on an ESA and taken him out with me. This one looks professional, and though we still get condescending stares, we haven’t had an issue with people vocally expressing their disapproval.Overall, this is an excellent vest and I am very happy with this purchase. We’ll see how it holds up in the long run, but I highly recommend this product if you have a small and/or oddly-proportioned service animal!

Excellent construction; excellent value; may not fit your dog
This is a well-designed, sturdy, attractive harness. I like the “handle” on the top that allows you to grab your dog when she’s about to be rude and jump on a stranger coming in the door. I like the fact that there is a leash attachment loop both on the back and on the chest. Don’t be put off by the “Service Dog” label; that is a velcro attachment that you can remove. It is easy to adjust the neck and girth straps, and there is a generous range of strap lengths. I have a mini goldendoodle (20 pounds), and the size small fit her well when adjusted to its smallest configuration. Even so, the harness was designed for a stocky breed, not a slender breed like a poodle. Although the harness could be adjusted to fit her well, it looked large on her because of its padding. Still, it fit…or so it seemed. The bulkiness of the harness caused it to ride over to the side as she walked, even with no leash attached, so the harness was always off-kilter. I don’t fault the design of the harness, but it was just not suitable for a tall slender breed like a poodle.It looks like the design is best suited for a wide-chested dog like a bulldog or a boxer or an Aussie or a lab. Check the measurements carefully; one would expect my dog would wear a small or medium harness. I bought the small based on her measurements, and I had to shorten the straps as far as they would go to make it fit her.I’m giving it four stars instead of five because even in the small sizes it is designed for a stocky dog. If your dog is stocky and muscular, then go for it. It’s very well made; very elegant in design.

Great quality at great price
Honest review for those who canât decide which size to get. We hope this helps ! For reference we have my Sedona, a 15 week old Golden Retriever modeling the small size.As you can see in the pictures it fits spot on. We did have to adjust the straps to get the best fit for her. The photos make it seem like itâs REALLY snug but as you can see there was still plenty of room for a very comfortable, but secure fit.Both the chest and backside D rings for the leash are lightweight metal and allow for a size-able leash buckle to go in no problem.The overall construction of the harness seems like the manufacturers read some reviews because there are NO stitching mishaps. Everything is nice and sturdy and the handle is very securely stitched on. ( Tested it when Sedona tried to eat a bird leg )As you can see, the patches that come with the small size are 1/2 inch longer than the Velcro in the harness and are also non reflective.So if you get this size and you want it to look nice and neat, I advise to get a different patch size to fit perfectly.Sedona is quite comfortable in this harness. As her pulling continues due to her puppy nature, I feel confident that itâs not choking her like her collar does and she has complete range of motion in it.The only con I would say about the harness is that it has a SLIGHT shift to one side depending on which direction the dog goes but, thatâs purely an aesthetic opinion.Long review but I hope it was worth the read. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product if youâre starting out with your training and want to make sure youâre getting the best for your hard earned money. Hope this helps !
