Finally, a free standing ramp for big dogs
My dog is a 5 year old, 120lb Bernese Mountain Dog. For years, I have tried different stairs and ramps for him, and just gave up. I prefer a ramp as stairs over time will be hard on his joints. But most ramps had to rest on something, or they were slippery. I need the ramp for my bed, which sits up high. I could never get a ramp to rest secure enough for him to feel comfortable. These big dogs get big scared over everything. I eventually gave up on the ramp and settled for some kitchen chairs/makeshift âstep upâ, but he is starting to struggle with that. So I ordered this ramp.This ramp has carpet and ridges for traction. It adjusts in height and can reach to the top of my bed. Itâs freestanding, so it doesnât need to rest on anything. And itâs sturdy. I have it placed between my bed and the wall, so he canât fall off the sides. It is not super wide, but having it wedged makes me comfortable.It took 3 days for him to get fully comfortable using it without treats. Do not let them step on it until you know it wonât wobble. If it wobbles, it will scare them and they probably wonât use it. I positioned the ramp and got high value treats. I walked up the ramp myself (I am under the weight limit) and encouraged him to follow, and gave him lots of praise and treats when he did. I did the same to get him to come down.At bedtime the first night was more of a struggle. I have a small light next to it so I know he could see it. But he did try to get down without using the ramp. I had to stop him and get out of bed, and walk down the ramp with a treat to show him it was safe.The second night he didnât need treats. He climbed up on his own but I gave him treats and praise. He hesitated when he went down, but he did it.The third night, he used it up and down without issue or hesitation.It weighed less than I thought it would and folds up nicely. I could use it if he needs help in the car.Very happy with this purchase!

Quality and adjustable ramp
This is a quality well built ramp, itâs easy to use and allows access for higher furniture such as beds. It allows compact storage when not in use and my dog learned how to use it quickly. The carpet is a little slick but it works.

Good quality, well built and easy to set up. My 56 pound Amstaff injured her right rear ACL which makes it difficult for her to jump and to get up steps. She is able to go up and down the ramp with no issues. The ramp is very sturdy and there are rubber pads on the bottom which prevents it from sliding. Very satisfied with the ramp.

It seems well built. The dog and. I are getting used to it. The ramp is opened all the way and almost sits flat while he checked it out.. Seems it will be perfect when used as a ramp. Tomorrow we will start to get used to it as a ramp not flat on the floor

Good Size Ramp
My bed is super high and this ramp gets to a good height for my dog to get on the bed. It is well made. Itâs portable and the incline is good. Its functionality is good and the set up was easy. The only con is, it would work better for my dog if it had some kind of rubbery surface. He slips on the current surface. Hopefully as he gets more confident using it he wonât slip as much.

Great Product! Well-Made. No Assembly.
I got this large ramp for my Bernese Mountain Dog mix. To be transparent, I only had it out of the box for about an hour. I have to return it because he will not be able to use it safely.The product itself is sturdy and safe, but he has degenerative myelopathy, and his nerves in his back legs are “dying”. He is getting progressively unable to use his legs, so they wobble and spraddle when he tries to walk.I measured and planned to set it between the wall and my bed, but it became clear that he will probably get a leg stuck in the small gap between the ramp and bed, which will break his leg.This is not the fault of the product!! It was just an unforeseen possibility when I ordered it.If you are considering a ramp, I highly recommend this brand.
