I recently switched from Purina Dog Chow to Purina One for my three dogs. They really like the taste and I’m trying to cut back on wet food because all 3 were a little too heavy on their last vet visit. Lots of varieties for different pets’ needs is very handy too. And it’s much more affordable here than at Wally World.

Small breed puppy, size, texture, flavor
I bought this for my teething 7# 5 month Portuguese Podengo Pequeno puppy who was on Purina ProPlan Small Breed Puppy Chicken formula. She is very itchy, so I wanted to try a food without chicken (the most common dog allergy) but still with grains/no legumes. I tried a duck and rice formula from a premium brand, but its way to hard for her to eat. Finding a small-breed food is not easy.This kibble is a mixture of small triangular kibble about the same size and texture as the puppy chow, and irregular tender jerky bits. She really likes the beef flavor, its easy to use this as training kibble, and she can easily eat it. The photo attached if this food on the left, her previous puppy chow on the right (coins) and the two balls of the too-big/hard duck kibble on the far right. The jerky bits can be larger, but they are soft and don’t give her any trouble. A good diet for a step up from puppy chow.The price is very good, too. It’s a ¼ of the price of F&D ancient Grain Lamb puppy small breed, which would have been my order from Chewy. I also ordered the lamb flavor of this which will arrive today. I think there are only these two flavors. I appreciate that Amazon offers this smaller bag size. My local pet stores only offer a giant bag. Small pups only eat ½-¾ cup of food per day.We’ll see how her tummy and skin tolerated it, but so far we are both happy with it qua flavor, texture, value and nutrition.I was not offered any incentive to review this product, but rather share this info for the benefit of others with small breed pups who are searching for a decent food.

Good food for the dog at a good price
It’s really healthy food for the dog is best the company makes. At a decent price it’s not too high price. I have a small dog in it last about four months.

My fussy dog are eating it. Good product.
