    Very sturdy
Easy to set up and my older dog walks right up then.

    Life Saver
I just purchased a new truck and my Shepherd is almost 12 and 90 lbs. I am soooo grateful for these retractable stairs. We go everywhere together and these stairs are easy to fold and unfold, they are the perfect size, and sturdy for a dog his weight and size. The best purchase in a long time!

    Great Purchase
One of the best purchases you can make. It is so convenient and easy to use. Stores nicely in your car. So sturdy. My dogs love it. If your dog(s) don’t love to be picked up or to jump down from the car, this is 1000% for you. They’ll take a second to figure it out, but then utilize it with ease. You don’t even have to hold onto it or worry about it scratching your car. There are cushions on the handles.

I do not feel safe having my 120lb lab use these
I thought they would be perfect for my pup. The 1st step he took the stair popped. It feels like they are made of cardboard. I am so disappointed in this product. There is no way they will support my 200lb dog.

My dog actually used them today
My dog is about 7 years old and she’s been having difficulty jumping in and out of the car; the vet told us she has arthritis. I ordered these dog steps so I don’t have to lift her in and out of the car myself (she’s heavy). These steps fit well on my Subaru Crosstrek. I rest the padded handles on the rear bumper and clip the strap to keep it from shifting. They feel very stable which is critical if you want your dog to actually use them. The steps are 17″ wide and 13″ deep. There’s some overhang between the steps, so usable tread depth is less than 13″, but it’s still plenty for my dog. They fold nicely to be about 6 inches thick (17x13x6 when folded)Our dog is very skittish, she’s a rescue dog with a lot of trust issues. Initially she was very wary of these new steps, treating them like they were some kind of evil death trap, but I put them on the car every time we went for a ride for a couple of days so she could get used to seeing them, and i put treats on the steps that she could take if she chose, with no pressure to do so. I didn’t ever try to force her to use them.Yesterday she touched the top step with her paw to see how stable it was, and today she walked right down them without thinking about it. Now that she’s used them once (and knows first hand that it’s not a trap), I’m confident she’ll start to use them regularly.

    Quality Dog Ramp
The dog ramp is an upgrade from a previous ramp I have used that is slanted and without steps. I like this one because my dog already knows how to use steps, and it will come more natural to her. It is quality made with metal (aluminum) and surprisingly lightweight and easy to use. Folds up easily and stored in the trunk area. It works best on the rear of my SUV. I tried it against the back seats, and it just did not fit secure enough. The nonslip surface is important. My corgi went up the steps with assist the first time and back down without any help. The soft foam handles lay nicely on the bottom edge of the back opening as pictured in the ad. In addition, the ramp has connection clips for even more security. This quality ramp is a good value for the cost.

Not sturdy— def not rated for big dogs
Broke in less than 12 hrs of having it. Supposedly rated for larger animals but was giving out in the steps when my 4 y/o CRAWLED on them (was pretending to be our kitty) and he weighs 45lbs or less. Folds up and is mostly light weight but the design would benefit from ANY kind of support in the middle of each step. Was easy to use with our bed but it broke before we were able to even get a days use out of it. Look for a better value—this one sucks.

Very lightweight, foldable ramp with steps is easier for dogs than a flat inclined ramp.
This lightweight dog ramp is lighter in weight that another dog ramp I own that is just an inclined platform without actual steps. That ramp was hard to get my dog to use because he wasn’t confident on the incline because it was unfamiliar to him. This ramp on the other hand, with its individual steps, was much easier to get my dog to try and use.The aluminum ramp requires no assembly and unfolds and folds-up easily with no latches or locks to have to worry about. Its light weight (under 10 pounds) makes it easy to store anywhere. The steps are particularly helpful for our aging dog that is having trouble getting in the car and also up onto the couch. The steps work great inside the house too.The Amazon listing says this ramp has a load capacity of 150 pounds but I feel that’s way too optimistic for this lightweight ramp design and I probably wouldn’t trust it for a dog heavier that 100 pounds.
