The two- sided product is great. I was a bit dubious when I unpacked it and had to put the cover on, but it was easy enough and fits well. The size is perfect for the XXL crate and the rescue doggie seems happier, more relaxed since having it in there. He hasnât even nibbled at the corner and so far, so good. It seems very durable as long as he doesnât get bored/ decides to be a destructive beast. And nothing would survive that.

The foam keeps its shape nicely, but the bottom of the cover is not waterproof
Iâve had two of these mattresses for a little over a year now and I do like the fact that the foam has kept its shape nicely. Itâs a little thin, but even when I get down on my knees or lay with the dogs for a few minutes, it is surprisingly comfortable, and I donât feel myself hitting the hardwood floors underneath.However, we have a lot of dust and mud that comes in and out and itâs very hard to keep the mattresses clean and one of my biggest pet peeves with these mattresses is that the bottom of the cover is a very thin nylon – not the same material as the top and it does have little holes. In other words, dust, moisture, and who knows what else can still infiltrate the foam pad from underneath. If the dogs were to have an accident on the top or come in with wet paws, it does seem to protect the top of the mattress, but anything coming from underneath can easily get through the little on the bottom of the cover. I do like the mattresses, though the covers are a little hard to get on, but the foam is flexible enough that if you smash it around, it will fit, and surprisingly the zippers have stayed intact this entire time. The covers are easy to launder and come out pretty clean most of the time, The fabric is a little loud though so when the dogs step on it, it kind of makes a scratchy noise – not horrible, but wouldnât suggest if youâre looking for a silent cover. Overall, these have been good beds and surprisingly durable for the price – by the way I have a 75 pound golden doodle and a 115 pound Newfoundland so the fact that theyâve kept their shape is really astonishing considering the fact that there are orthopedic beds for giant breeds that are well over $200. My only pet peeve is that I get a little grossed out thinking of everything that could be building up in the foam pad because of the thin mesh fabric on the bottom of the cover. For this reason Iâm considering switching to a waterproof baby mattress that can be easily wiped down and fully waterproof and dust proof.
