Great Product, Price
I travel frequently in the car with my two small, energetic dogs, who, for the most part, have had the run of the vehicle. Not smart, I know … When I got serious about safer travel, I tried kennels and car seats, and neither was very helpful (whiny, unhappy pups can be just as distracting). A friend recommended a harness and belt system, and this one looked promising. They proved more than promising; they’re perfect. My dogs travel comfortably and safely, secured to seatbelt buckles in the back seat. They love to go and get excited when I get out the harnesses. I’m very pleased with both the quality of the product and the price. One more note: the fit is fine for small dogs with easy adjustments of the straps.

Italian Greyhound Owners – This will work for you!
We initially purchased the top model available at Drs. Foster & Smith. That model was built to hold a semi in place, let alone a dog. Each buckle alone weighed almost as much as my dog. It was too big and would’ve never worked correctly (even though it was sold as being compatible with the weight & size of our dog). I did my research on Amazon and this model showed up. The shipping was terribly slow (one star dock), however one arrived we fitted it to our dog. The unit fits very, very well and I only seen one point where there could be a potential rubbing issue. Our dog didn’t mind it at all and we took him to the vet a week later which is a 11 mile ride. There and back and his skin showed no signs of distress or rubbing and he never had an issue with it once. The bonus was that we could put the windows down more than usual without the fear of him jumping out. The leash part connected to our buckle easily (Mitsubishi Montero Sport). We’re very happy with the product!

Outstanding option at a bargain price
We purchased this for our 11 week old boxer puppy after trying/disliking a few different car harnesses and car seat straps (American Tourister, Top Paw) from local pet stores. Unlike the pet store options, this one actually fits her easily and securely! It is so adjustable in each direction, from neck to chest depth to strap length, that I fully expect it to fit her for months instead of just weeks. That is a HUGE bonus for a fast growing puppy that seems to outgrow items every 7 days. If you have a small/medium dog that will stay that same size, then I have no doubt that this will last you for years and years.The harness is so similar to her regular one that she doesn’t freak out at all when we put it on. The seat belt strap clicks securely into the buckle instead of the awful design that just wraps around the car’s belt … this means you can *completely* control how much movement your dog has in your back seat instead of hoping that s/he won’t pull hard enough to fall off the seat or reach/scratch the door. Best of all, the harness fits so well that you can just clip your leash to the sturdy metal ring when you get to your destination instead of having to change harnesses before you get out of the vehicle.In summary, this is a FANTASTIC harness at a bargain basement price. I also fully recommend the seller Grooming-Pet-Supplies – we ordered this with standard shipping on a Saturday and received it on that following Monday. I don’t know how they got it to us that fast, but I’m so grateful. When our boxer outgrows the small/medium, we’ll get the exact same item from Grooming-Pet-Supplies in the larger size. Do yourself and your pet a favor – order this harness!

WARNING – DANGEROUS PRODUCT
The clip that attaches the strap (which fits into the seatbelt) to the harness is very poorly designed, and extremely dangerous. Instead of using a standard clip, like you would find at the end of almost any leash on the market, the makers of this product used what looks like a small carabineer clip to attach the strap to the harness. One of my dogs managed to get her leg caught in the clip, with the clip snapped shut around the tendon running along the back of her leg (not sure how this happened, as we were driving at the time, all I know is my dog suddenly started panicking and thrashing in the back seat with this clip – which was still attached to the harness – closed over her back leg like a bear-trap). Fortunately we were able to pull off of the freeway, calm her down and very carefully remove the clip from around her leg (which was difficult to do and would have been impossible for my dog to do herself, because of the shape of the clip) before she tore the tendon in her leg.This design might not pose much of a risk if you’re dog sits perfectly still in your car, or if you don’t mind tightening the strap so much that your dog cannot move or reposition itself, but I would not recommend this product to anyone. I have since removed the original clip and replaced it with a standard clip so that I can continue to use the seatbelt adaptor at the other end of the strap.

Excellent, versatile safety product
There are several small pups in our extended family, including our two toy poodles, who are finicky about any restraints. We don’t use collars on these small pups. I have looked for years to find a product like this car safety and seat belt system. The design of the harness is friendly to both pup and care taker. The strap width, wider than most, is extremely gentle for small breeds. The harness can be used with any leash, with the seat belt clip or with most booster-type canine car seats. The black color is a good match for any car. The price was unbelievable! This product is a winner!! We have purchased three this month. Our pups highly recommend it for all their small friends.

Runs Large, Works in 2006 Prius
I was hesitant because a few of the reviews say the seat belt adapter doesn’t work in Toyota corollas but I can report it does work in my 2006 Toyota Prius.the sm/md harness is goofy, is way to big and overall does not fit well on my 19 lb poodle mix. When pulled on, most of the force is applied to the dogs neck and not to the chest plate as our other harness. I question its usefulness in protecting a dog during a car accident. But for the $10 + free shipping, the seat belt adapter is a fair value and I consider the harness a nice freebie.
