CRASH-TESTED – PupSaver is a rear-facing crash tested dog car safety seat. All of our safety seats have been tested to or beyond the canine version of the FMVSS guidelines. The rear-facing design makes PupSaver the only crash test-worthy dog car seat on the market. Our seat works with your vehicle’s SRS and seatbelt pretensioner to provide maximum impact protection and Safety Beyond Restraint.
COMFORTABLE – The soft, ballistic nylon and poly-filled seat bottom makes a car seat that is both durable and comfortable. We only make the best for your pup.
SAFE – Heavy-duty metal j-hooks for lower LATCH (child safety seat) anchors in the back seat. New all-metal tether attachment system provides security at the base of the seat. Five total seatbelt-grade plastic clips (reversible for use behind driver and passenger seats) lock PupSaver in place and integrate with seatbelt pretensioner in case of an accident to pull PupSaver safely over your dog.
VERSATILE – Can be used in the front or back seat; can double as a pet bed while traveling.
PupSaver Seats are COMPLETELY constructed of ballistic nylon. There are no hard foam pieces (like a booster seat), so the PupSaver is somewhat flexible. *Please measure your vehicle’s seats before purchasing a PupSaver, we will provide a prepaid label for return; however, the cost of the return label will be taken from the refund. We also want to specify that there will be a 50% restocking fee for products that are returned outside of the original shape of the product.

Safety and comfort
I purchased the PupSaver in 2015. It has been in a car accident and moved countless times between the front and back seats of 4 different cars. I originally purchased it because my rescue dog barked up a storm when I strapped him in the backseat. I think his original owner let him sit on their lap while driving – a definite safety no-no. I installed the PupSaver in the passenger seat and he adapted immediately. He can still see out the side window and most importantly, he can see his me. This thing is so comfortable that he usually goes right to sleep (after he gets his car-treat, of course).Right now it’s on the patio getting another wash job so we’ll see how it fares. Besides being a little grubby because I rarely give it a big wash, the PupSaver has been incredibly durable. When it finally gives up the ghost, I’ll definitely get another because buying peace of mind for $190 is a bargain!

10+ hours of comfort
We had a bucket seat that worked fine, but didnât seem comfy enough for a 10+ hour drive on our calendar. Alice was comfy and happy in the Pupsaver, whether snuggled in or taking a peek around!

Protection for your co-pilot(s)
Yes, this is worth every dollar to protect your loving pet and protect you from distracted driving. They are secure in this dog seat both physically and emotionally. My dog gets into the seat happily to snuggle down for a nap. When the seat is in the house for a vacuum and extricacate toys from under the cushion, dachshund climbs into the seat for a dog bed. When it is buckled in properly, you can clearly see how the dog is protected during a collision. Small price to pay to protect your dear little best friend.

Not washable
When researching for a crash tested dog seat this product checked off all the boxes. To the pups, they view it as a comfy dog bed. Piece of mind and safety first is key. The big con is that the main cushion cannot be washed. I put a 18X18 waterproof zippered cover and made a removable velcro cover to put ovet. This way it fully protects the main cover. (Made slits for the strap). This company should have thought of this in the design. The company can manufacture these covers and add to their merch. By making a fitted cover this does not interfere with the fit of the cushion when putting it back into the car seat. Entire product looks well made.

Great Seat
This is an easy to install seat and perfect for my dog who tends to get carsick. She can now see me but not get in the way (with correct harness) and she can stand and see out the window. Unfortunately, the medium harness was too big (she wears medium in others) and she did a Houdini the first trip. We have ordered a small harness.

Wonderful product!
This car seat is amazing. I have never felt compelled to write a review before but this car seat is worth every penny. I have a dog who had spinal surgery recently. Traveling with him quickly became a nightmare because he was used to sitting on my lap, but that isn’t possible with his injury. I could not use a doggie harness : seatbelt or booster seat because if I stopped short, the pulling on his spine could be catastrophic, but a crate would allow him to slide around – not good! The seat is so comfy, even my incredibly opinionated dog quickly transitioned to being a big boy and sitting in his own seat. I love that even without clipping him into the seat (though I do recommend it!) he doesn’t move, bounce or slide. It’s exactly what I was looking for and never thought I’d find!It is a little difficult to remember how to put it back in the seat, so keep the instructions handy! Also, I have a two door car with “sports seats” and the fit isn’t quite as perfect as it could be with a sedan…. I modified it by putting a firm base under the part (otherwise it sloped downward- stupid car!) But it still works great and I am happy with it. I tried it in a friend’s car and it is perfect in a sedan or non-sporty car.Overall, well worth the money to keep my dog safe. i know he will be protected if anything were to happen, or even just hard braking. My son (dog) is staying put.

Dog and I agree that it’s okay
This car set for a dog seems ideal in theory but in practice I found it to be annoying to put in and take out of the car as often as I sometimes need to do so. My dog also didn’t love not being able to see infront of them and would often try to get out of the car seat by sliding onto the seat next to him. With time, exposure and training I’m sure we’d both be comfortable, but I opted to go for a less expensive and more flexible car seat that supports our usage but have held onto this car seat as it is probably the better and safer option I’d like for us to use long term.

I was just in a car accident with my dog. Sheâs completely uninjured.
Iâve had this for a long time and always put my dog in it. Well, today it really mattered. Today we were in an unavoidable accident. My dog is completely fine and uninjured. If i had gone for a cheaper option or even just a strap, she would have been seriously injured. Thank you, PupSaver. You saved my pup. I can officially say I have âcrash testedâ this and it works. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
