Very small
Not very sturdy, but itâs easy to assemble good quality too soft ,dog doesnât use it borderline collie medium size dog. I just felt it need to be more sturdy the kids love it. It does fit the couch. This is definitely for smaller dogs and lightweight dogs.

Doggy step.
Steps are not firm enough, so when dog jumps on them, the mat just tipped over and she only weighs 19 pounds. The steps do not weigh enough.

Too narrow
I’ve ordered two of these to help the menagerie of geriatric and handicapped rescues around the house.Right out of the bag it appeared flimsy, but I wanted to give it a chance. So, a few weeks later, here’s the verdict.a) overpricedb) steps are way too narrow Even if the dog uses the steps to go up (which most times they don’t bc the old one will fall off when trying to gain momentum to get onto the next step, cause there’s not enough room) , they’re often too nervous to use it to step down bc they can’t see the second step from above, which eliminates the purpose for the whole thing. The larger dog just knocks the steps over.Which leads me toc) flimsy design. The steps are made of foam with a loose slip cover. The thing is super light weight and just slides around on hardwood floors. Not safe for animals with joint issues.â Not recommended â

Help for Dogs with Short Legs
Doing accurate product reviews can be somewhat difficult if you are trying to do a “Pro-Level” job with the review. Experiencing in a short time what a buyer might experience in months or years is a challenge. However, this product is pretty much a “what you see is what you get” proposition – and I liked what I saw.The package arrives with a smaller package than you would expect because the product is made of high-density foam and compressed for easier shipping. Advertised as “30D high-density foam and can weigh up to 25 pounds” by the manufacturer, it actually weighs much less and is easy to move from one place to another. It even has a nifty carrying handle to help move it around.Lighter doesn’t mean less durable though. The 30D mentioned in the product description is likely a common industry rating for foam mattresses. The Indentation Load Deflection (ILD) rating is basically a number that represents how many pounds of compression one cubic foot of foam is required to compress it one inch. An ILD rating or 30D is roughly the same as a firm seat cushion or a stiffer mattress. My 26-pound French Bulldog barely made the foam compress at all as she used the stairs to climb to the couch. It took no time at all for the stairs to regain its shape but required a full day to completely recover from the shipping. The color and shape of the product is inviting, and my Bulldog did not hesitate to use the stairs to get to the desired spot on the couch. At first, she jumped down from the couch to the floor without using the stairs, but after a few attempts she found using the stairs to go down was much easier. Then the Bulldog hardheaded nature appeared, and she refused to use the stairs to go up or down from the sofa. No matter how many treats were offered, the stubbornness of the breed came into play. The next day she was back to using the stairs as if she had been using them her entire life. Such is the breed.I found the slope design of the incline to be much more pleasing than a traditional 90-degree angled stair design. It is not a ramp, and it is not a stair but more of a hybrid design, which seems to be easier for the animal. I removed the washable cover to see how difficult it would be for the consumer to take off and put back on, and I had no difficulty with either. The bottom surface has just enough traction to keep the stairs from slipping without having too much grip.It is attractive and something that would look nice in any house, easy to use, and solves a problem for smaller or older dogs. I believe it is designed with quality material and should last for years, making it a real value in this price range. If I were to suggest any change at all, I would probably like to see the stairs offered in a few different color choices. However, the neutral gray goes with almost everything.

This item is too unstable for my 4 year old 18 lb Lhasa Apso. Heâs afraid to use it.
