Disapointing
What I got is not what I think of when I thinking of a cooling mat. This is thin and small. When you put it in the freezer to freeze it than becomes hard and uncomfortable. Not to mention the cooling feature of it lasts 20 minutes or less. Waste of money, a small fan pointed towards the dogs would do a better job and last longer.

Small and thin
This cooling mat is different than I expected based on the listing. Then it gets cool or cold, it gets firm or hard. They suggested using it inside a pillow for sleeping. This is extremely uncomfortable based on the chemical becoming rigid when chilled. Also it is so thin that even though it can be chilled again fairly quickly, in my experience using it, it only lasts about 30 minutes before the cooling effect is gone.The price at the time of this review is $15.99. I do not think this is a good value and I would not choose it again. It is not a benefit to me based on how the cooling works and how rigid the thin areas become. My rating is 3 stars. It is not a defective product, it does cool. I wanted something that was comfortable to put inside my pillow case. It does not do that job in the way I intended to use it.

Great for getting to sleep
This mat is two layers of plastic with some liquid inside that has a freezing point of about 82°F. It can suck up a good amount of heat as it thaws. While it’s nothing like lying on an ice cube, it’s just cool enough to feel very comfortable on a hot summer day. I’ve been using mine to sleep on. When we turn on the air conditioner in the evening, the room gets below 82°F. By the time I’m ready for bed, it has frozen. It’s just enough cooling power to help me relax for sleep. Normally I find my bedroom to hot to get to sleep well, but I don’t mind the heat as much when I’m lying on this.There are two things I wish were better. First, it’s only roughly 7″x10″. I’d love to have something like this but larger. Second, I wish the bubbles in the mat held more of that solution. It’s about enough for me to fall asleep with, but it doesn’t stay cool for as long as I’d like (think less than 1/2 hour). For now, I still think it deserves 5 stars because this is a newer technology and there aren’t enough options in it yet. It’s good for the size it is. It would work a lot better if you were using it as a cooling mat for a small to medium pet since they would have less heat to thaw the substance inside the mat and the coolness should last longer. I just wouldn’t recommend it for any pet that might chew it open.

Neat material but not much of it
This is a tiny pad made of plastic surrounding cells/pockets of a really neat material that freezes at 82 degrees F. I find the material pretty amazing, and it certainly gets cold in the fridge or freezer in a wonderfully fast moment, but it also heats up in very little time because there’s just not much of the material present in the cells. The scale of this pad is about butt-sized, so it does work as a seat cushion cooler or a pet “place” mat cooler, but with so thin a layer of cooling material, it only provides a few minutes of cooling. Since that’s the same as would happen with a traditional ice pack, and ice packs are abundant or even free if you get medications by mail, I’m not sure this product is worth getting. It’s a novelty but not all that useful.

Temporary cooling
This is a very temporary cooling mat. It only lasts about 20-30 minutes. It gets quite hard and is not very comfortable. I use this for my dog to help cool him down after playing outside. Again it doesnât last long at all but enough to cool him down a bit. It also is would be much more useful if it was a bit larger.

Cooling effect
I got this for my small dog who doesn’t do well when it gets too hot. It does offer a cooling effect when touched even if it wasn’t placed in the fridge/freezer. It is hard as others have mentioned, but it doesn’t bother her. The only thing I do wish is that the mat was bigger because she would have to stay still and not move at all in order to fit on it.

A lot to be desired
The Leisuremix PCM Cooling Mat is not what I expected. It is very small, hard, and thin. When folded in half, it is smaller than a sheet of paper. At the time of this review, it was listing at almost $15. In my opinion, that is way too much for this product. Made in China.

While this mat in as good as it gets cold very quickly, the pockets which freeze are very small, which means it also melts quite quickly.The mat was nice when the weather got hot to put my feet on, and is ok for a quick cool off.

Ich nutze im Sommer gerne Kühlmatten. Bisher setzte ich dabei vorallem auf die Versionen mit Gel.Um so überraschter war ich bei dieser, denn sie wiegt nicht nur wenig, sondern ist auch unglaublich flach. Somit ist sie sehr leicht zu transportieren und perfekt für Ausflüge.Auf der Rückseite der Verpackung wird auf Englisch erklärt, was es mit der Matte auf sich hat.Die GröÃe, welche ich bekam ist natürlich recht klein und eignet sich für die Kühlung einer bestimmten Stelle. Meine Kater finden sie aber zb ganz toll.Der einzige Nachteil bei der Matte ist, dass der Kühleffekt nicht sehr lange anhält. Schon nach ein paar Minuten merkt man an der Stelle, dass sie wieder wärmer wird. Jedoch sei gesagt, dass sich die Matte recht schnell wieder abkühlt und erneut genutzt werden kann.Preislich finde ich sie aber etwas zu hoch.

Ich war gespannt auf das neue Material dieser selbstkühlenden Matte. Sie soll sich unter 28° selbst kühlen. Das funktioniert gar nicht. Sie kam als harte Matte an, ist steif und kantig und wird von selbst überhaupt nicht kalt. Da sind unsere Bodenfliesen, auf denen unser Hund gerne liegt, wenn ihm warm ist, deutlich kälter. Selbst wenn die Matte im Kühlschrank oder auch im Gefrierschrank gelagert würde, ist sie kurz kalt, aber schon nach wenigen Minuten wieder auf normaler Temperatur ohne Kühleffekt. Die Konsistenz der Kühlfüllung ist immer gleich hart, egal ob gefroren oder nicht. Unangenehm, klein und kurz gesagt nutzlos.

Wenn ich sie in den Gefrierschrank lege, ist sie dann sehr hart. Da mag sich mein Hund nicht drauflegen und ich möchte es so auch nicht nutzen. Im Kühlschrank muss man die Matte sehr lange liegen lassen, damit man eine gewisse Kühlung erreicht.
