Bought a second
It was a 14 degrees here and we have this in a cat/dog house on the porch for the stray cats. They were nice and warm and comfortable yesterday! I’ve purchased another that will be here Tuesday. We have a 2nd house, so they should be all set for these Michigan winters. It’s worked exactly as it said it would. Make sure you get an extension cord rated for outside!

Excellent for outdoor pets
I got this for my outdoor and feral cats. (My cat has a feral pal she takes care of.) It has a low setting that will stay on until you turn it off, or higher heat settings (still very low) you can set to be on for up to 24 hours before you have to reset. The mat gets just warm enough to keep the area from freezing, which is perfect. My cats don’t want to be hot. Their fur works great for heat, but ears and eyes and toes aren’t so well-covered and if the ground is cold, it’s even harder to get warm. This heating pad keeps the ground (my deck, up under the roof) from freezing. Once they curl up on it, it gets warm quickly. They use it all the time. I don’t have to worry about them when it’s cold. I have shelter for them from wind and rain and this pad to keep them warm. Perfect.

Good product
I bought this this winter just prior to subfreezing temperatures. It seems very thin, but it works great! Cord is of good length and has reinforcing tubing over it than decrease risk of chewing. Has various heat settings and timer that can be set from a few hours (up to 24 ) to continuous. I have used it a lot and it has been working fine. My cats and dog appreciate it.

The cats really love this, the dog only when it’s single digits.
This thing is great. You can set it on level 3 of 6 and it will stay on. There hasn’t been a time yet when I go out to the shed and there’s not a cat on the mat. The dog has his own and he likes it more when it’s really cold but he sure stayed on it when the wind chill was below zero. This is a great buy and I would highly recommend it to pet owners. The unit even remembers the setting when you plug it back in the next winter.February 2025: I just bought a third one – the cats needed more room. The listing says “Last one” but it never is. Also, it will show two day shipping but it takes several days in reality.

Plastic stays kinda hard even after heated.
It’s not as malleable as one would think. I tested it outside on med-high for 6 hours and I could feel only a small amount of heat. With the removable cover being extremely thin and the control difficult to understand because, the lines didn’t read a setting or temp, it only circled, that was it for me! I do not recommend it for outdoor use as it stands. Perhaps I should have read the instructions, but I thought (at the time) it was pretty straight forward. You may be able to use it indoors a lot better than outdoor, but if that’s the case, there are other-better ones on the market.

Perfect for outside cat
This is my first time ordering a warming pad. I have a stray cat sleeping on my porch that I’m feeding. I built a little fort for her with a chair n table and some blankets etc. the warming pad is keeping her warm. It’s been so cold it’s necessary. She won’t come in since I have a cat. Very sad.
