Do not buy these doggy bags
I have spent thousands of dollars, probably tens of thousands of dollars at Amazon, going back to when it was an online bookstore. These bags are the WORST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE.The bags split in two when we pulled them off the roll. After five or six attempts we finally got a bag off the roll, then it split when we tried (very gingerly) to open it. I carried dog poop home in essentially a micro thin sheet of plastic. There was no hint of a bag.Quite frankly there could not be a worse product.

Plenty big! But be careful pulling them off the roll
My dog is a giant breed and has correspondingly giant droppings that don’t fit in all doggie pickup bags. These bags are big enough to grab everything and still tie shut. I love that I can throw the whole thing into my compost heap (I have a farm with a big, active compost setup; it gets plenty hot enough to break everything down) if I’m picking up at home, and if I’m out on the trail when hiking, I can move the poop to a safe burying location and dispose of it where it won’t disturb fragile ecosystems or interfere with other hikers’ experience on the trail.Compostable plastics are still somewhat less stable and less resilient than traditional plastics, so you do need to take care with HOW you handle these. First, don’t leave the roll in a hot car. That should be obvious but… ya know. People. Second, the perforated line separating the bags in the roll is a bit fragile; tear it with care. Most of the time I have no problem getting a bag off the roll but I’m pretty good at anchoring both sides of the perforation and pulling evenly. Third, don’t apply pressure with pointy objects like finger nails when you’re picking up droppings; you can puncture the bag. These aren’t latex gloves! Make sure there’s some slack in the plastic in front of your nails if you have long nails. If you take those precautions, you’ll love these bags. If you think you shouldn’t need to be so deliberate, well, go buy regular plastic bags; these won’t work for you.

Very thin and easily torn
I have used compostable bags before and overall have been impressed with their quality. These bags unfortunately were a let down. I was surprised to see how thin and fragile they are. The very first bag I used ripped in the corner where it is perforated and connected to the next bag, it was useless. The second bag I took out survived the separation process but my finger busted through the bottom with very little effort. Along the seams it tears very easily, the tear running all the way up to the top of the bag. I noticed this in other places too, sometimes it just finds a line and tears along it, almost like pulling a thread on a sweater. While I do like the compostable aspect and understand that there will be trade offs I think these donât hold up. Iâll use them to pick up messes in my yard or maybe for other things but I canât trust them to hold up on a walk outside the house.

Convenient Product
These bags are made from 100% corn starch, so they’re eco-friendly and compostable, which is great for the environment. There are 120 bags in the pack, and they are easy to open and use. I like that they are leakproof, so I don’t have to worry about any mess. The bags are strong and hold up well. My only complaint is that sometimes they are a bit tricky to tear off the roll. Other than that, they work really well. You can also leave them in your car for trash

Bags are horrible
Every bag ripped when I open them very cheap and poor quality.
Customer Review –
Several bags ripped open
These were difficult to unfold and open since the plastic stuck to itself, and several bags on multiple rolls in the box I received had split seams as soon as I enrolled them, while several more ripped apart while trying to separate bags from the roll. These also did not contain smell as well as other bags I’ve tried so I would not order these again. The compostable aspect is nice, but there are other compostable bags available with much better quality than these.

Very durable and earth friendly!
I have a 180lb Cane Corso.I’ve tried several other compostable/earth friendly bags in the past, but none really held up to his ‘reliefs’. I’m so happy I found these because I finally found a bag that holds up!The rolls are quite large, but still manage to fit into my bag holder. These tear apart easy and they are VERY easy to open. (I loathe fighting to open a plastic bag infront of my neighbors lawn after my dog just took a big c**p!)The bags are suprisingly studry, which is suprising because they aren’t very thick. I haven’t had a single one leak on me either. They are a great size (my entire hand and part of my wrist fits inside) and they are easy to tie up.I’ll also note that these seem to control the smell better than other bags do. We have a can just for dog bags, and it used to smell AWFUL the closer it got to trash day. It still smells, but no where near as bad. These may cost a bit more, but I’ll gladly pay the extra few dollars for a studry, earth friendly bag. I’m definitely buying these again!

Very easy to tear.
These bags have no durability, the small act of opening the bag will rip it to shreds.
