The Perfect Tug Toy for Aggressive Chewers, Durable Tug Toy for Mental Stimulation & Play for Medium to Large Dog Breeds, Blue, 24″ Long

Really tough, dogs love it!
I have a pit mix and my friend has a pit. We have regular play dates and these play sessions are the ultimate test for toughness. Forget firehouses, and even kongs. Her pit thinks “playing” means destroying, shredding, and often Ingesting. One “tough” ring toy was ingested to the tune of $15k vet bill. We have now learned to keep the play moving and keep the pit from settling down to chew. That being said, this is the best go-to toy to date. They love playing tug of war and never seem to get bored. This is pricey, but the number of play hours and enjoyment—worth it!! Had to write this review for all the hardcore chewdoggies out there.

“Is that a weird seggs thing?”
This could not withstand the jaws of my German Shepherds or my GSP. Lasted maybe two days. And I had to explain to my houseguest that it was not a weird seggs toy. I do not recommend for heavy chewers.

Holds Up Against the Toughest Chewers
My pit mix (Jim) can and will destroy every toy I buy him, no matter what the product claims about their toy’s durability. He has been obsessed with this toy and had barely played with any of his other toys since getting it.I’m not going to lie, playing with this toy is weird at first; it feels like you’re flailing around a long adult novelty item.I expected Jim to tear this toy apart within days but to my surprise, it’s been over a week and this thing still looks brand new!I was going to give this 4 stars since it arrived with a chemical odor and oily chemical residue as well as the ugly design. I washed the toy before letting my dog play with it (I put it back in the box for him to open after I washed it) and that seemed to get rid of the odor/residue – I am still curious what kind of chemicals were used to make this and any possible leaching of chemicals during prolonged, aggressive chewing. As for the design, it doesn’t get prettier with time but this toy’s durability is so good that I could care less about the design/looks.I will be looking at this company’s other dog toys to see if I can replace Jim’s other toys (balls, etc.) with toys made from this material.

Not for aggressive chewers
We have an 80# lab mix, 65# shepherd-husky, and 50# Heinz 57, unfortunately this toy didn’t last a week. They chewed one hoop off in 2 days then inch by inch the rest came off.

For some reason, I thought it would be more like a slightly flexible stick. Instead it is quite floppy, so throwing it isn’t a great option. However, my dog is quite proud of her new toy, and frequently thrashes it ‘to death’. It is a good tug toy.
