I had a diatomaceous earth bnath mat previously, but it was much softer and seemed to “rot” after a year.When I got this mat, it was hard, firm, and came with a sticky netting to keep it in place. I’ve already used it a few times and I love love love it! It’s frm, absorbs water well, and I didnt find it dusty (like teh directions mentioned it COULD be). It seems to be holding up and I haven’t seen any water damage under it. So far, so good! I hope that this lasts longer than a year!If it helps, it came with a small sandpaper to refresh and buff the mat when it was necessary.

Excellent Drying with Non-Slip Safety
Since discovering Diatomaceous Earth mats, I’ve been quite impressed with their ability to soak up wet footprints and dry off much more quickly than I expected. Maybe that water is still hanging out in the porous material somewhere, but it definitely does a good job of keeping the surface dry and safe. Perfect for keeping my kids from slipping on a hard bathroom floor when they come out of the tub.

We are slowly converting everything to these stone mats. They are just so absorbent, it doesn’t make sense to keep using cloth ones. I will say that whey get dirty over time and I have no idea of a safe way to clean them. I like that they are low profile so they usually fit beneath doors. Also, our robot vacuum doesn’t drag them around. Our cat also likes to roll around on them for some reason.
