Made in China. Cute but super crazy over-the-top overpriced.
The âheartâ of this item requires two AAA batteries, which are included. You must pull the tab on the heart for the batteries to work. Unfortunately, to open the battery compartment to replace the batteries, you will need a tiny screwdriver, which is not included. Thereâs a âslitâ in the belly with strong Velcro where the âheartâ is located. Of course you can choose to use this with or without the âheartâ.This plush pooch is super soft. It has a blue cape with red silicone corners. Not sure why someone thought the red silicone corners were necessary, but so it goes.This item is machine washable, after you remove the heart. It comes in a nice cardboard box (though my box was crushed).This plush dog is Made in China and being sold by a Chinese company on Amazon. At the current price of 65 bucks. . . Itâs well over twice the price is should be 25 bucks would be much more appropriate. The dog itself could not have cost more than a buck or two to make in China.

Adorable and soft!
This is an adorable snuggle puppy. It is well-made. He is very soft and cuddly. He has soft brown ears, closed eyes, and a little red tongue that sticks out. He wears a blue cape with tactile corners (silicone corners with raised starsâhelpful for kids with fidgety fingers). The cape is removable and washable (can be washed in the machine, but then let air dry). The puppy also comes with a red heart. When it is turned out, it beats like a heart. This can be comforting to babies, young children, puppies and kittens, and adults. The heart is turned on (eight hours or continuous) and then slipped inside the puppy (Velcro holds it closed). This toy is great with puppies who have just left their mother. It calms them and helps them sleep. The beating heart operates on batteries which will drain quickly. I wish the heart was rechargeable. Younger kids like to hug the snuggle puppy and sleep with it. It is costly considering what you receive. This is a cute snuggle puppy.

Very soft with a fairly loud heartbeat sound.
I’ve noticed a couple of things about this snuggle pup that I like better than other I have. The first thing is the battery life. I’m not sure how long it is going to last but it has outlasted the other two I have and is still going strong. Speaking of strong, the heartbeat sound is great. I can faintly hear it when I am 4-6 feet away from it. It’s a nice large size and is really really soft. I do wish it was a little bit heavier but I can’t complain because my son loves it.

The Snuggle Puppy Hero for Kids is a cute and well-packaged stuffed animal with clear instructions. The face has a big nose, floppy ears, and closed eyes and the body is soft. It comes wearing a “Hero” cape that can be taken off. The removable heart is about 2.5″; it goes inside a velcro opening on the underside of the puppy. The heartbeat has a pulsing feel as well as sound; it can be continuous, an 8 hour cycle, or turned off. To change function or shut off the heart sound you must open the bottom and retract the heart which a smaller child probably could not do without help. For me personally, the heartbeat was a bit too loud.My grandkids (8 & 11) who love dogs and urged me to order this product were not overly impressed. Also introduced Snuggle Puppy to three neighbor kids (5, 7, 10) with a similar lukewarm response. Interestingly, though the Snuggle Puppy says “for Kids” it may be best suited for use with older adults seeking a feeling of companionship and comfort. The marketing material included references stories of Snuggle Puppy helping “dementia patients, veterans with PTSD, stroke survivors, and the elderly”.

this was ordered for my German Shepherd. She has lots of babies but this is her 2nd with the comfort heartbeat. She seems to take extra comfort in these and special care of them as well. It is precious to watch her care for them. This particular item is super soft and adorable, cape it bright with textured corners, good size and very soothing for her. I imagine it would also be equally soothing for a child. I would definitely recommend.

Aptly named — is very snuggly
This type of stuffed toy was first introduced to be used by small puppies to calm them down and help them sleep through the night. I suppose the heartbeat feature was supposed to make them think they were still with their moms, so this was a security thing. Given to a child I really don’t think they need a heartbeat, especially one that they might not like. I suppose it depends on the child, but from what I’ve been observing the heartbeat feature is not necessary and probably is responsible for the higher cost. My grandchildren simply like to snuggle with soft stuffed toys. If they’re cute that’s a plus but sound is not necessary. I also found out my dog is afraid of it.Personally unless I saw a need and knew it would work I wouldn’t spend so much money on this toy. But since this toy might indeed fill a need for some child I’m giving it 4 stars anyway. But it’s too bad you have to buy it to find out if it will help your child.
