Great for a small dog on a console seat
We used this as a restraint for a small (~10 lb) dog sitting in a padded bed/seat that straps to the console lid between the driver and the passenger. We just got back from a road trip with 20 hours of driving each way, and this tether was a resounding success. Our back seat was full, and our rescue would howl the whole time if we tried to isolate her back there anyway. This product, coupled with a basic console seat (reinforced with corrugated plastic) made our dog completely comfortable, and let us focus on driving and navigating while the dog largely snoozed away. I attached the zip line hooks to the front seat headrest posts. The included carabiners were way too heavy for this size dog, so I swapped in one of my own, coupled with a spinning leash clip that I had salvaged off a frayed leash. The combo allows her to turn (always the same direction of course) without twisting the restraint section hopelessly tight, as the leash clip spins freely. When she’d occasionally get excited, the restraint kept her confined to just the area we had in mind. I threaded the zipline through the second-to-shortest “pocket” in the restraint section for less weight dragging that part down than the heavy duty carabiner included for that purpose. I know it’s not rated/marketed as a safety restraint, but given the build quality, I think it would keep our light dog safer than any of the prior methods of transit we had tried. The design is very flexible and well thought out. Great product; wish I’d found it a few years earlier!

Awesome product!
Works great! I love that the attachment to the zip line is fully adjustable so that I can keep my dog secure. The line that attaches to a harness also doubles as a leash!! Super convenient! I have a Jeep Wrangler so when we have the top off I was worried about my dog falling out but with this he is completely secure. Instead of attaching it to the seatbelts I attached to my roll bars and it worked great! This is very well made and a great product!

Withstands Intense Puppy Chewing, Very Strong, but Smoothly Allows Puppy to Move Side to Side–GREAT PRODUCT!
This is a good product. It not only keeps your puppy/dog off of you while driving (which is illegal in some states and municipalities), but also keeps your puppy/dog safe in the case of an accident! The zip line itself is very sturdy and has withstood some chewing sessions from my teething puppy. It is also very long and easily adjustable. There is a nice elastic end that you can use to tie up the end of the zip line the you do not use. It works sometimes, but I don’t always use it–which is why my puppy has chewed the loose end. The straps are made from fabric, like what you would find on a truck strap to hold down cargo. Very secure. The carabiners on the tether line are also very strong (heavy duty) yet still allow my puppy to slide side to side in the backseat with no problems or hiccups–they flow smoothly over the straps. The tether strap has multiple holes in it so you can adjust the length easily by changing the position of the carabiner on the tether line. Very convenient and very easy to use. The actual tether line is made from the same strong and sturdyAll straps (the zip line and the tether line) are great, very sturdy, no warping, and no damage due to puppy chewing. There are two hooks on each end of the zip line. You can either lock up the seatbelt to attach the zip line, or you can use the grab handles (I use the grab handles, see the photo below). What is nice with each hook is there is a center eye or circle where you can latch on the carabiner of the tether line. Thus, you can effectively limit your puppy/dog to one side of the backseat. So you can actually have two dogs on the zip line but on opposite sides of the backseat with no problem. This is very VERY nice.My only problem is that the hooks on each end are coated in rubber/plastic. Both ends of the hooks are already peeling back the protective rubber/plastic and are exposing the sharper, blunt metal end. I fear this will damage my hand grips if they pull a little or slip off, or when I am putting them on or off.Overall, I would recommend this product. It is very durable and very strong. I am just worried the the end hooks are peeling and the metal will be exposed in no time–I have only had this a couple of months and it is already occurring. If you have an active puppy/dog or a chewer, this zip line is for you!Below are three pictures–you can see how I attached the zip line in one really well. Perfect solution to keep you and pet traveling safe
Update 08//17 a suggestion for the kurgo makers, perhaps add a swivel carabiner to the one that attaches to the harness. My little dog is very active back there and when I go to unleash her it’s so coiled around itself I almost couldnt unlatch it! I actually cut one off of something else I had and added it to it but don’t think I should have to.Awesome product! I just adopted a little dog who likes to look out the car windows and run back and forth so this was perfect. I tried it using the seatbelt but he couldn’t go from window to window so using the hooks in the car were just perfect for him. I had tried keeping him up front with me with one of those straps that hook to his halter into the seatbelt but they make them too long and he could still get over to me which is distracting and dangerous while driving. This is very sturdy, worth every penny. I did find the carabiners a little hard to get into his halter as he’s a small dog so hook is smaller and these are big. It’s also nice that you can control how far he can go as the strap is adjustable shorten lengthen. Had to work with that a little to get it so he could not jump up front. Now he can roam the back even onto the floor, lay down and not get up front! Perfect! Great price.

This system was so great and relieved any concerns I had about traveling long distance with my pet. He was comfortable, took to the system set up easy and now I use the system even when we go short distances. The bands are strong and the clasp system is secure. He was able to move along the line from one side of the car to the other with the secondary purchase of the little zip line. I highly recommend this.

Very easy to set up. The zipline extends more than enough, I attached it to seat belt anchors at rear of van. The leash has lots of loops to attach the hook to so you can finely adjust the distance of the restraint. Excellent, sturdy and well made. Strong enough for my 36kg shepherd.

This worked wonders. When we used other solutions, our dog felt too restricted and tried to chew her leash. This one is just the correct balance between freedom and safety.

Pesante e a mio avviso poco pratico

La manera de sujeción es genial, al asidero interior de arriba de las ventanas, he hecho varios viajes con mi perro de 21 kg y se adapta genial incluso cuando se da la vuelta para encontrar su sitio.
