Offers good support but opening in the back is too narrow
The harness offers good support for the rear end of my doggy that is having issues with her rear legs due to old age and it is relatively easy to put on due to the Velcro and buckles. Plus it came with a thank you gift but did not explain what it is. My wife finally figured out it is a laundry bag that you can put the harness into when you put it in the washing machine. The major flaw is that the opening so that the dog can do her business is too narrow. For #2, itâs not that critical since the tail ensures that the opening is where it needs to be. However for #1, thereâs no guarantee that the opening is in the correct position.

Dog support lift
As stated it is easy to use and comfortable for the dog. We use it on our 95 lb lab and it helps her go up and down steps without putting much weight on her injured hind leg.

Carrier and carried still adjusting to use
First off this is a well made harness that can be sized to fit pretty well. To what extent both parties find its a hassle to put on is probably relative to the need to employ it. I’m in my mid 70’s and am still hosting my 120 lb Akita into the back of a raised Jeep. I’m not sure if she will run out of life, or I out of back, first but I’m starting to think about both. Hence my trying this out. Currently, she puts her paws up on the platform that replaced the rear seat, then I squat down with good lifting technique and lift her up under her hind quarters and toward the interior. This means I can employ a lot of leg, and relatively spare my back. With this lifting harness, I am pulling more than pushing, and i find I have to use a lot more arm and back. That is not a good thing. Now I suspect this would be different if I were using a ramp, but none of the half dozen ramps I’ve tried work well with the rear doors of a Jeep. However, it should work well with trucks with tailgates. It may also be that this harness will work fairly well stabilizing a dog while going up and down house stairs. We aren’t there yet, and I don’t look forward to having to regularly install and remove the harness for every trip on the stairs. So there is definitely a lot to like about this harness, but also a lot to carefully consider as well. Hope this helps with your considerations.

Didnât fit
Used the measurement chart and still didnât fit. Loop holes around back legs were too loose. Itâs a well made product and the concept is exactly what I was looking for but it just wasnât adjustable enough.

Awesome product
My 15 1/2 yr old, 45 lb Shepsky has severe hip dysplasia. This is the best support we have purchased. He is more comfortable with the type of support & it’s easier for me to take him for a walk than with previously tried products. He is using the medium, but because of rear end muscle atrophy, it’s almost too big for him. Product is well made too.
