This is a specialized veterinary formula shampoo for use on dogs, cats, and horses, and is useful for managing skin conditions that may arise from infections. Pleasantly fragranced, this 16 oz shampoo contains both Ketoconazole 1% and Chlorhexidine 2%. It’s specially designed to be antiseptic and is used in situations to help clean potentially injured or neglected animals.
WHEN TO USE:
Designed for topical use on dogs, cats, and horses to treat skin conditions that are responsive to chlorhexidine and ketoconazole. External use only.
DIRECTIONS:
Shake well before use. Wet the hair coat with warm water and apply a sufficient amount of shampoo to create a rich lather. Massage shampoo into wet hair coat, lather freely. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. May be used initially 2 to 3 times a week for 4 weeks, then reducing to once a week, or as directed by your veterinarian.
PRECAUTIONS:
Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands after use. For external use on dogs and cats only. Avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly and consult your veterinarian. If skin irritation occurs or increases, discontinue use and consult with your veterinarian.

Great product
My 100+ lb doodle has been having some allergic reactions to something. The vet recommended the shampoo and I got this also to go along with it. Good product. She runs from me when she sees it but itâs done a good job with the scaly skin and itching. Pricey but good. ð

For dog itching worked freaking great.
We have been plagued by one of our dogs itching and chewing at his feet. We have given him trazodone Cortizone and a variety of other drugs to reduce his suffering. Once trying this, I repeat once it has worked for several months. He is starting to itch again, after about six months and will be treating him tomorrow. In my humble opinion, this is a great product.

Hope to save you some time, money, and shorten the time your dog suffers from itchy-scratchies and smelly feet. GET THIS! It works. For the last 8 years, our dog suffered from some kind of irritation twice a year. We tried so many sprays and shampoos, flea medications, even allergy pills. Vet thought it was a flea allergy, but in winter? We knew that wasn’t right. Read here about the sweet yucky smell and licking paws until they were raw, and that rang a few bells. This really works! It doesn’t take much, so don’t overdo.

Amazonâs review guidelines donât let me get into specifics on this (my first review was rejected), but this spray works as advertised. After using it for about a week on my Samoyed (read lots of thick fur) for a skin condition, heâs pretty much back to normal. It didnât have to use much of this product and still had more than half a bottle left after using it as Iâll describe.I used this spray twice a day for the first three days, followed by once a day for three more days, followed up by once a day a week later. I worked the spray down to the skin using my fingers and wore gloves even though the instructions donât mention any issue with getting it on your own skin.My dog had a skin issue that, after the first few days of using this, looked very much improved and continued to improve over the next several days. Frankly, this product exceeded my expectations and I plan to always have a bottle in my dog care kit. Highly recommended.
