Well designed product with one minor flaw
I have a 70lb husky in excruciating back pain right now. I donât know how we would have gotten him out of bed this morning without this! He still cries getting up but this is a tremendous help. The padding seems adequate but lightweight so he can lay down pretty comfortably with it on. The back partâs belly band goes over his wee-wee unfortunately. Thatâs the only flaw. I have decided to use that strap to connect the back harness to the front harness by looping that strap thru the handle. That seems to work out pretty well to keep everything in place while heâs moving or laying down. Itâs hard to find a harness with a back part (which I feel like he needs right now) & based on reviews of similar products many people have a problem with a back harness part covering a maleâs area so I will live with that. I am definitely glad we got this product!

Works well enough for my 85 lb dog
My 85 lb dog is a senior now and is starting to have hip problems. I’ve been concerned about being able to get her down the stairs and into the car alone if the time comes she needs to go to the vet and needs help. This sling will make that a lot easier, and I like that it has handles on both the front and back of the harness as well as the shoulder strap that connects the two pieces. It is adjustable so I was able to fit the large size onto her without issue. The straps are padded, although they are not very wide. The harness itself is mostly easy to put on since it has multiple buckles and nothing holds the front and back pieces together so they can be put on separately. It was a bit of a challenge getting the rear harness around her back legs even with the buckles on each side, but if she wasn’t so eager to get out the door every time she saw a harness that would be easier. I was able to lift her without using the back leg straps (I just put the strap around her belly in the back, and the left leg straps hanging). I wouldn’t want to do that for going very far though or for going up/down stairs since it can slip out of place. The entire harness weighs just over a pound so it’s also a good option for taking along on long hikes in case something goes wrong. She was bit by a copperhead in the past and fortunately was able to walk several miles out of the woods on her own power, but it would’ve been really nice to have the harness then to help her when needed.

Straps are to thin…..not for large dogs
My beautiful GSD has some arthritis in her hips so I thought I would give this a try. Sorry to say this is very disappointing. The straps are way to thin and cause my baby discomfort when using to support her weight. I think this is better suited for small dogs but I cannot recommend this for medium or large dogs.

Helpful, feels awkward
This is the third brand Iâve tried in the full-body lifting style harness. I tried this one on an 80# pittie with a barrel chest & tiny little hipsâhis chest is like a defensive lineman, & the hips of a NBA player. The beauty of this harness is I could adjust the front large enough & small enough for the back. The shoulder strap is what makes it awkward. Thereâs no clear way to connect the front & back portions of the harness other than the shoulder strap. The back hip portion slipped out of position while the dogs were laying in their bed. This makes it awkward because I have to get the back portion into position to use the shoulder strap and help them stand up. Not the hardest thing because Iâm only lift their hips an inch or so while I adjust the straps.

Have patience
This harness is a great item to have however it is not the most convenient to put it on being two pieces.
